Greetings Brent Families!
This principal update is full of thanks yous! A big thank you to parents who made teacher appreciation week so memorable. Our staff enjoyed the baked goodies, notes of appreciation and kind words from Brent families.
Thank you to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who did their very best on the DC-CAS. We are so proud of their hard work, perseverance and great attitudes during the two week testing period.
Thanks to the many Brent families who completed the enrollment packet and provided residency documentation. I am pleased to report over 90% of our families have completed the process.
Thank you to the after-school committee for their efforts over the past four months. The after-school committee did an excellent job articulating what the after-school experience should look like for Brent students. In the end, I feel that Springboard can meet and even exceed those expectations. Representatives from Springboard will be at the June 6, 2012 PTA meeting to provide an overview of the program and answer any questions families may have. Don’t forget, May is field trip season at Brent. Please ensure field trip forms are signed, children are dressed appropriately and packed lunches are made when necessary.

- Friday June-6 PTA Family Night-6:30-8:00 pm
