Admissions
Brent participates in the DCPS early childhood and out-of-boundary lottery system to allocate available pre-school and pre-Kindergarten spots as well as for out-of-boundary new students. The Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten and Out-of-Boundary Lottery application for school year 2013 – 2014 begins on Jan. 28, 2013 and closes on Feb. 25, 2013.

- In Bounds no siblings
- Out of Bounds with siblings
- Out of Bounds no siblings but lives with proximity to school (i.e. within 3* blocks)
- Out of Bounds no siblings and without proximity to school
All returning Brent students in all grades, as well as new in-boundary K through 5th grade students receive placement for the next academic year and need NOT apply through the lottery.
Visiting Brent
If you would like to visit our school, please join us for an Open House. At these events interested families will be able to meet Principal Young, Brent teachers and parents, and hear more about Brent’s high-quality responsive education and unique museum program. Families will also receive a tour of the school.
