Admissions
Brent participates in the DCPS early childhood and out-of-boundary lottery system to allocate available pre school and prekindergarten spots as well as for out-of-boundary new students. The early childhood and out-of-boundary lottery application period for the 2012-2013 school year begins on January 30, 2012 and ends on February 27, 2012.

Preference for Preschool-3 , PK-4 and Out-of-Boundary Lottery
- In Bounds with siblings
- In Bounds no siblings
- Out of Bounds with siblings
- Out of Bounds no siblings but lives with proximity to school (i.e. within 3* blocks)
- Out of Bounds no siblings and without proximity to school
All returning Brent students in all grades, as well as new in-boundary K through 5th grade students receive placement for the next academic year and need NOT apply through the lottery.
Visiting Brent
If you would like to visit our school, please join us for an Open House. At these events interested families will be able to meet Principal Young, Brent teachers and parents, and hear more about Brent’s high-quality responsive education and unique museum magnet program.
Open Houses/Coffee Hours have been determined for the 2011-2012 school year.

Thursday, October 27 from 10-11 a.m.
Thursday, December 8 from 9-10 a.m.
Thursday, January 26 from 9-10 a.m.
Thursday, February 23 from 9-10 a.m.
