Pre-Kindergarten Four Year-olds

Ms. Harding-Wright, preK-4 teacher
Amy Harding-Wright joined Brent during the 2009-2010 school year from Mount Daniel Elementary School in Falls Church. A 17-year veteran educator, Ms. Harding-Wright was the 2009 winner of the Washington Post’s Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award for Falls Church City. Harding-Wright holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clarkson University, a master’s degree in education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., and is currently enrolled in the educational specialist program at the University of Virginia. She began her teaching career at D.C. public schools and the House of Ruth, then spent 13 years in the Falls Church City Public Schools, where she taught kindergarten and first grade, as well as preschool special education. She chose to work at Brent so she could work and live in the same community and be more involved in her children’s education – her daughter, Nina, attends Brent and is in First Grade this year, and son John is in PK-4 at Brent.
