Pre-Kindergarten Three Year-olds

Ms. Miller, preK-3 teacher
Stacy Miller (formerly known as Ms. D.) is starting her fifth year as a pre-k 3 teacher at Brent. She holds a B.S. in psychology from Frostburg State University, a master’s degree in early childhood education from Towson University, and previously taught for Head Start for three years in Baltimore City. She lived in Germany for four years, loves outdoor activities and nature, and just married her college sweetheart of 11 years this past May. “I love everything about Brent. The staff, the students, the parents and the community make this work environment feel like a family,” she says.

Ms. Levin, preK-3 teacher
Janine Levin, who has been teaching young children at Brent since 2001, holds a B.A. in elementary education and master’s degree in early childhood education from Towson University. She has studied sign language at Catholic University and “Classics in the Classroom” at the Shakespeare Theatre, traveled to Italy to study the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, and once spent eight weeks helping to build a primary school in rural Ghana.

Ms. Pierce, preK-3 teacher
Danielle Pierce has been teaching at Brent since 2009. Previously, she worked at Simon Elementary, where she was a Head Start teacher. She holds a B.A. in business and organizational communication from the University of Akron, with a minor in pre-law, and a master’s degree in education from George Mason University. Ms. Pierce, who was married in Hawaii, enjoys photography, riding her vintage bike, yoga, hiking, and is currently training for her first half-marathon. The reason she chose to work at Brent: “From the moment I walked through the door, I felt at home,” she says. “Staff members and students were welcoming and I really felt as though I had found a community that fosters learning, growth, and caring.”
