Brent participates in the DCPS lottery system to allocate early childhood education (pre-kindergarten) spots for all new students and K-5th grade spots for new, out-of-boundary students. Returning Brent students do not need to reapply to the lottery. However, returning students are required to re-enroll yearly. DCPS enrollment begins in April. Look for more information from DCPS and the Brent front office in March, including instructions on how to complete the re-enrollment application.
